Comprehensive Therapy
At Xthetics Face and Body Sculpt in Calgary, we believe in offering our customers choice in their hair restoration needs. We provide the following innovative hair restoration services:
Four Great Choices
PRP (platelet-rich plasma) is a substance found within your blood containing a concentrated number of growth factors. PRP is harvested using a simple blood draw and then injected into your scalp to repair hair follicle cells, stimulating new, healthy growth. This all-natural procedure delivers true rejuvenation with no downtime.
Sylmfirm X combines the healing processes of microneedling with the growth instigator of radio frequency to spur hair growth. It only affects damaged follicles and does not damage healthy follicles.
We are excited to also offer Pluryal hair growth stimulant to our clients. This product contains amino acids, antioxidants, and minerals that help spur hair growth and vitality through infusion into the scalp. Pluryal gives your regenerative hair treatment a boost with enhanced growth and fullness.
Exosomes are naturally-occurring cellular communication vesicles that support the exchange of RNA and other proteins between cells. By injecting exosomes into the scalp, you can enhance your body’s natural regenerative process for renewed cellular health and hair growth.
Amazing Benefits!
Because we offer four types of hair restoration treatments, we are able to better fit your unique hair restoration needs. If one process doesn’t work as well for you, we have other options. We stand behind our treatments and believe that each one has amazing benefits to offer our clients.
PRP therapies are generally considered a low-risk procedure that does not usually result in major side effects. The PRP process involves drawing blood, so it's essential to ensure that you are hydrated and have eaten beforehand to avoid nausea, dizziness, or fainting. After the procedure, you may experience some soreness and bruising at the injection site. PRP injections consist of materials from your own body, which means that any risk of an allergic reaction is much lower compared to other injectable treatments, including corticosteroids. Although less common, possible risks of PRP injections include nerve injuries, infection, tissue damage, and bleeding.
Most individuals experience little to no downtime following the Sylfirm X treatment. However, some may experience slight sensitivity, pinpoint bleeding, and mild redness and swelling at the injection site, which usually resolves within a day or two. Although rare, some patients may experience swelling around the eyes, which also typically subsides within a day or two.
Exosomes for hair loss also carry potential side effects. Patients should avoid exercising for 24-48 hours following the treatment due to associated risks. Mild pain and swelling at the injection site are common and typically subside within 24-48 hours. Additionally, patients may experience heightened scalp sensitivity for up to 1 week after the treatment.
New Hair Growth
If you are bothered by hair loss and are in reasonably good health, you are a good candidate for hair restoration in Calgary at Xthetics Face and Body Sculpt. As long as you don’t have any health issues that would preclude you from having the procedures, you should see improvements from these therapies. Patients with early hair loss tend to respond more favorably to these treatments, but they can work on those with severe hair loss as well. During your consultation, we will assess your candidacy and expectations to determine the right treatment option for you.
Painless Injections
With each of these therapies, the hair restoration agent is infused (injected) into the scalp. Pronox (laughing gas) can be provided to mitigate any pain. However, the therapeutic shots are virtually painless and are only about a two on a one to five pain scale (with five being the most painful). For best results, each of these therapies should be done in a series of treatments. The length of time between each session will depend on the specific modality selected for your unique needs. Maintenance therapy after that should be done once every 6 months.
No Downtime
Hair Restoration procedures usually take approximately 30-45 minutes and require no downtime. Results are gradual and do not require any recovery period. Any redness will dissipate within a few hours.
Powerful Results
Within a few weeks to months, Calgary hair restoration patients will begin to notice new hair growth and thickness. We recommend a series of several treatments for optimal results and, after that, a maintenance series every six months or so.
Risks
It is crucial to acknowledge that Hair Restoration treatments may result in adverse effects. While these effects are generally mild, it is advisable to seek advice from a dermatologist if they persist or become worse.
Possible side effects of these treatments may include the development of scar tissue at injection sites, discomfort during the healing phase, paint, queasiness, and lightheadedness. Additionally, there may be a risk of damage to blood vessels and nerves.
A Treatment Plan to Fit You
There is no reason to live with hair loss. With the hair loss treatment choices we provide at Xthetics Face and Body Sculpt, you can be assured of a thicker, fuller head of hair. We believe in treating the whole patient and will work with you to create a holistic treatment plan to fit your unique needs.
The pain from the injections is about a two on a one-to-five scale. Most patients tolerate the injection pain just fine. We also offer Pronox for optimal comfort during treatment.
The AHCIP (Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan) extends comprehensive medical coverage to eligible residents of Alberta, encompassing essential physician services and select dental and oral surgical treatments. The plan does not, however, cover non-essential treatment such as the hair restoration cosmetic procedures listed above (PRP Hair Restoration, Sylfirm X, Pluryal Booster, and Exosomes for Hair Growth).
With a Hair Transplant, the procedure is more invasive and requires local anesthetic and a longer recovery time. With our innovative hair restoration treatments, your recovery time is minimal, and you can return to your daily activities the next day.
No, following hair restoration Calgary patients will be able to go about their normal activities, including driving after the procedure, even if you have used the Pronox.
Eligible Alberta residents receive comprehensive coverage for essential physician services and certain dental and oral surgical health services under the AHCIP. However, the AHCIP does not cover non-essential surgical procedures, such as cosmetic treatments, which encompasses Hair Restoration treatment.
