Each session will take approximately 20-30 minutes. Your Calgary Belkyra provider will select several areas to treat, and marks will be placed in these areas. Then the deoxycholic acid is injected into these areas. After the injections, we can provide ice packs to help with the redness and swelling.
Minimal Downtime
Recovery time is minimal. Following double chin treatment at our Calgary Med Spa with Belkyra, patients may experience some redness and swelling at the injection site area, but this will go away within a few days (or, less commonly, within a few weeks). We space the treatments several weeks apart so that all swelling and redness have gone down before your next injection. Cold and warm compresses can be used to reduce swelling.

You can expect to see results gradually within four to six weeks. Because treatment consists of a series of injections over time, each set of injections will eliminate more and more fat from your chin area.
